Serving Together

1 Peter 4:8-11

1. We are to serve together because we have all been gifted by God.

2. We are to serve together with excellence as one strengthened by God and devoted to one another.

3. We are to serve together ultimately for God’s glory to be made known.

Growing One Another

1 Thessalonians 2:1-20

How do we help others grow spiritually?

1. We love others sacrificially

   • We love genuinely

   • We give ourselves (this means life-on-life)

   • We make their good our ultimate goal

2. We give one another God’s Word

   • We talk about Jesus (the Gospel) …a lot

   • We teach how to live for Jesus in everyday life

   • We understand that God transforms people through His Word

Where can I start?

1. Commit to deep friendships in the church and with non-Christians

2. Lovingly serve these people

3. Share a struggle in your life and ask how you can pray for them

4. Be intentional together: plan times when you will talk about how God is speaking to you through His Word

Caring for One Another

Hebrews 10:24-25

1. Caring for one another well requires all hands on deck.

2. Caring for one another well requires a committed, loving, and humble approach.

3. Caring for one another well requires a willingness to enter into the uncomfortable difficulties of one another’s lives.

Communing With One Another

Acts 2:42-47

1. Communion with one another must be inclusive of the whole body

2. Communion with one another should be consistent

3. Communion with one another is most intimately achieved in smaller groups

4. Communion with one another builds God’s Kingdom
